Fowey Festival Announces Stellar Line-Up for This Year’s Event

The Fowey Festival, renowned for its rich blend of literary, entertainment, creative, and musical offerings, has revealed an exciting roster of stars for this years event, running from 10-18 May.

Caroline Quentin: A Journey through Gardens

Caroline Quentin, celebrated for her acting career as well as her passion for gardening, will share insights from her bestselling book ‘Drawn to the Garden’. The event promises an intimate look at her love for horticulture on 13 May at 12.30 pm.

Louis de Bernieres: A New Literary Voyage

Louis de Bernieres will take the stage on 12 May at 6 pm to discuss ‘Light over Liskeard’, his latest novel following the success of ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’. This session offers a peek into his new literary exploration.

Robert Hardman: The Man Behind the Crown

On 18 May at 6 pm, Robert Hardman, acclaimed journalist and author, will delve into the life of King Charles, offering a unique perspective on the monarch and the man behind the title.

Lemn Sissay: Illuminating Words

Politics Live: A Podcast Special

Iain Dale, Jacqui Smith, and Johnny Mercer will feature in a live recording of the ‘For the Many Live’ podcast on 18 May at 8 pm, promising engaging political debate and insights.

John O’Farrell: The Satire Continues

John O’Farrell will present ‘Family Politics’, his latest work of political satire, on 17 May at 8 pm. His session is anticipated to be a highlight for fans of sharp wit and insightful commentary.

The Overtones: Harmonies Under the Stars

Kicking off the festival, The Overtones will perform on 10 May at 8 pm, bringing their renowned vocal harmonies and dynamic stage presence to Fowey.

In addition to these headline events, the festival will host guided walks, art trails, and a movie night, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
