Rock Oyster Festival Launches Rock Oyster Foundation to Support Charitable Causes
In a spirited celebration of St Piran’s Day, the Rock Oyster Festival has announced the establishment of the Rock Oyster Foundation. Dedicated to harnessing the power of compassion and community, the Foundation aims to uplift, support, and empower individuals in need, while fostering positive change.
The Foundation has committed to selecting two charity partners each year to collaborate closely with, in addition to setting up a fund designed to back local community projects. Plans are in place to gather donations at several points throughout the Festival, with the Rock Oyster Foundation expected to make appearances throughout the year to boost its visibility and impact.
In a significant move to kickstart its charitable efforts, the Foundation has declared that all funds from admission tickets sold on St Piran’s Day will be directly contributed to support its mission.
For 2024, the Rock Oyster Foundation has chosen to partner with Hospitality Action and The Flying Seagull Project. Hospitality Action, with its long history since 1837, provides crucial support to those within the UK’s hospitality industry, aiding thousands annually to recover from personal setbacks. The Flying Seagull Project, founded in 2008, has made a mark by reaching out to nearly 400,000 children in 24 countries, bringing joy and safety to some of the world’s most challenging environments including refugee camps and orphanages.
The Rock Oyster Festival and its newly launched Foundation are poised to make a substantial impact in the lives of many, guided by a commitment to kindness and collective action. Further announcements regarding the Foundation’s activities and initiatives are anticipated soon.
The Rock Oyster Foundation works in aid of GivingWorks, charity number 1078770.
