Tregothnan’s Private Gardens to Open for Charity Weekend in April 2024
In an exciting announcement for both garden enthusiasts and charitable supporters, Tregothnan has declared its Private Gardens will be open to the public for a special weekend on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st April 2024. Spanning 60 acres, the botanic garden, known as the largest in Cornwall, will offer visitors a rare opportunity to explore its diverse range of trees and historic, botanical, and rare collections.
The event promises a unique experience with sweeping vistas and peaceful, secluded groves situated along the picturesque banks of the river Fal. This special opening aims to support charitable causes, with all proceeds being donated to Farm Cornwall, Sowenna Appeal, and Pentreath Ltd, organisations dedicated to making a significant impact within the community.
Tregothnan, internationally recognised as the home of English tea, has been cultivating tea on its Cornish estate since 1999. The estate’s venture into tea cultivation has added to its reputation as a place of botanical diversity and historical significance. For one weekend in April 2024, the usually private gates of Tregothnan will be opened, inviting visitors to experience the garden’s unrivalled beauty and contribute to a good cause.
