The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for Mounts Bay, alerting residents and businesses of expected flooding along the seafront over the coming days. The warning, which predicts flooding over the morning high tides from Saturday through to Tuesday, has put local communities on high alert.

Areas identified as at risk include Mousehole Harbour, Newlyn Coombe, Newlyn Green, Bolitho Gardens, Penzance Promenade, Ross Bridge, and sections of the Southwest Coast Path and the railway line at Chyandour Cliff. These locations are expected to face the brunt of the flooding due to a significant tidal surge driven by low atmospheric pressure. The situation is expected to be exacerbated by Force 6 southerly winds and wave heights reaching up to 3.6 meters on Saturday morning, leading to large waves and spray.
